Please join us for the Somerville Youth Soccer's 2021 Annual Meeting on Wednesday, May 26, at 8 PM via Zoom.

The past year has been challenging for everyone. After losing the Spring 2020 season to the pandemic, SYS has been able to offer soccer as a badly-needed physical and social outlet to the kids of Somerville. Most programs have been running straight since last July, with only a few weeks canceled in February due to frigid temperatures and snow and ice on the fields.

Meanwhile, SYS has faced a number of massive questions around leadership succession planning, financial forecasting, fields access, DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), and commercial partnerships. Our Board of Directors has stepped up and made some crucial decisions, resulting in changes that our players, coaches, and families definitely will notice.

This meeting is an important opportunity to update you, our members, on these changes. SYS also wants to engage our membership in discussion about some new proposals for the organization and hear from you.
