If your child is looking to learn and play in a relaxed environment, Somerville Youth Soccer has an opportunity for you!

SYS is excited to present our inaugural Just For Kicks Clinic for players in 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades that will run for six weeks from late April through early June.  This program offers the opportunity to learn and play the game in a recreational setting and is intended for athletes who are NOT participating in any other SYS team-based programs (In-Town or Travel).  Clinic sessions will take place once a week on Thursdays (no weekend commitment) beginning April 25th at the Healey School Field from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm.

The SYS Just For Kicks Clinic will be directed by former Bunker Hill Community College head men’s soccer coach Scott Benjamin, who also serves as an SYS girls’ travel team coach and directs the extremely popular Won World Soccer Camp during the summer.  Coach Benjamin will be assisted by members of the SYS coaching community and Somerville High School soccer programs to provide your child with all of the skills and drills to have a fun and enjoyable experience throughout the spring.

Registration is now open for the Just For Kicks Clinic at a cost of $40 per player.  Financial aid is available to those families who request it, and each participant will receive a clinic t-shirt.  Act fast – registration is limited to 50 players only!

Attendees should bring a t-shirt, shorts, socks, cleats, shin guards, and water bottle to each session.  If you need cleats and shin guards, please email cleats@somervillesoccer.us to learn more about the SYS Cleats Exchange Program.
